Job Title: Band 6/7 Pharmacist
Hourly Rate: Between £25 to £30 per hour (depending on experience and banding)
Working hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours (will consider part time)
Payment Method: Direct engagement
Contract Type: Locum
Contract Length: 3 months minimum
Job Summary
- Ward based experience (drug history, medicines reconciliation, clinical screening, TTA screening)
- EPMA experience is essential (Ideally cerner as this is the system used at CHS)
- The post holder will provide a Clinical Pharmacy service to a defined specialty on a temporary basis.
- They will deputise for the Lead Directorate Pharmacist in the delivery of the directorate responsibilities and duties and will assist in providing and maintaining a safe and efficient pharmaceutical service to a cohort of patients in accordance with Trust policies.
- They will support and supervise less experienced pharmacists on rotation.
- They will deliver, develop and evaluate specialist clinical pharmacy services in accordance with the objectives set by their section lead.
- Each rotation has been designed to develop clinical, specialist and leadership skills, ensuring the development of a well-rounded and capable pharmacist.
Rotations may include:
- Acute Medicine
- General Medicine
- Surgery
- Elderly care
- Masters Degree in Pharmacy
- GPhC Registered as a Pharmacist
- Right to work in the UK
- NHS experience required
- Experience using EPMA systems
