Job Details:
Banding: 8a/8b
Hourly Rate: £35 to £45 per hour (depending on experience)
Working hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours a week (will consider 4 days a week)
Payment Method: Direct Engagement
Contract Type: Locum
Contract Length: 3 to 6 month minimum
Job Summary:
- The successful candidate will undertake final product checking and release of aseptically prepared products prepared under Section 10 (Medicines Act 1968) and under the MHRA ‘Specials’ licence.
- Provide technical and clinical information to medical and nursing staff and other health care professionals and advise patients on the best use of their medicines.
- Participate in delivering training to pharmacists, technicians, pre-registration pharmacy graduates and assistants.
- Maintain and carry out all duties in compliance with Rules and Guidance to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and departmental standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Promote team working in the Aseptic Dispensing Unit (ADU) and Pharmacy Department.
Essential Candidate Criteria:
- MPharm Degree or equivalent plus 12 months pre-registration training.
- GPhC Registered as a Pharmacist
- Right to work in the UK
- Demonstrable experience in Aseptic Services
