Blackstone Recruitment is working with a Private organisation that is recruiting Adult Psychiatrists to join them.
These are ongoing associate roles, working remotely.
About the Role:
As an Adult Psychiatrist specialising in Autism & ADHD assessments for individuals 18+yrs old your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive developmental histories using preferred methods/tools to evaluate patients undergoing autism assessments.
- Conducting ADHD assessments.
- Observing patients during sessions and ensuring questions are asked in an thorough but compassionate manner.
- Reviewing reports, developmental history, and relevant collateral information from home and observer in the same session.
- Formulating a diagnosis, concluding the assessment, and providing feedback to the family in a kind, age-appropriate, and compassionate manner, including recommendations and signposting to local/national resources.
- Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) in cases where further information is required and offering a separate follow-up session to conclude the diagnosis if needed.
- Producing high-quality, detailed diagnostic reports within 48 hours post-assessment, adhering to relevant criteria and report templates. (Admin support for formatting and quality control is provided).
- Requesting onward referrals as clinically necessary, in line with local NHS Trust/ICB protocols.
The Clinics:
- Up to four appointments per day, paid on a competitive per assessment tariff (self-employed, outside IR35).
- Remote work and face to face clients.
- Other options available such as hybrid/face to face, depending on your location.
- Flexible working days available Monday to Sunday, accommodating your schedule.
What is required
- GMC-registered doctor with a valid license to practice.
- CCT in Adult Psychiatry required.
- Expertise and confidence in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and/or ADHD assessments for adults.
- Up-to-date with revalidation and appraisal processes.

Job Specifics
Rates: £300 per assessment *minus agency fee and VAT*
Payment: Paid directly from client (Outside of IR35)
Working Hours: Flexible working hours across 7 days
