Blackstone Recruitment are working with a provider of education, care and support services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities who are recruiting for a Housekeeper for one of their schools in Dorset.

Location: Dorset
Salary: £24,377.60 - £24,814.40
Hours: 40 hours per week. Term Time Only.
Contract: 1x Permanent contract and 1x 12-month fixed term contract available, 40 hours per week, year round
The role:
They are looking to recruit a housekeeper.
Experience:
Successful candidate is likely to demonstrate the following:
- Vacuum cleaning floors
- Spot cleaning of spillages
- Wiping furniture, ledges, pipes, paintwork, doors and polishing door glass
- Emptying and cleaning bins (daily)
- Cleaning toilets including sanitary fittings and surrounds
- Mopping and spray cleaning hard floor surfaces
- Wiping, dusting, cobweb removal, polishing banister rails spindles and wood surrounds.
- Replenishing janitorial supplies in toilets, etc (daily)
- Checking and closing windows, switching off lights after work and ensure the building is secure on exit
- Such other duties as may be allocated from time to time
- All defects/hazards must be immediately reported
- Duties will vary, you must expect to diversify and lend a hand wherever is required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience of using equipment and materials in situations where care is needed to prevent harm to others
- Key aspects of Health and Safety legislation for cleaning
- Experience of cleaning a variety of surfaces.
- The role will require some lone working; travel; physical work and the ability to drive.
