Job Details:
Banding: 7
Hourly Rate: £34 to £36 per hour (depending on level of hospital experience)
Working hours: Monday to Friday 37.5 hours
Payment Method: Umbrella or PAYE
Contract Type: Locum
Contract Length: 6 months minimum
Job Summary:
- Working in a Hospital Urgent Emergency Care department.
- Supporting on wards, admissions and ED.
- Reviewing and dispensing for patients.
- Completing prescriptions on e-prescriptions.
- Review patient notes on Careflow.
- Checking stock on TMJ Insight.
- Supporting in overall flow of patients through the Urgent and Emergency department.
- All staff will need to complete some e-learning in advance of their first shift – on systems used – Approx 15 hours to do the training – will be paid at £30 per hour up to 15 hours.
- Day 1 will be induction and orientation as well as trust specific face to face training.
- Shift pattern: Monday to Friday. Hours (subject to change), 8am to 4pm / 9am to 5pm.
- Staff will be rotated on the other shift pattern.
- Staff will need to be accessing patient records to check medical history and allergies.
- Staff will need to be completely prescriptions.
- Staff will need to be dispensing medication.
- Staff will need to be checking stock levels.
Essential Candidate Criteria:
- Masters Degree in Pharmacy
- GPhC Registered as a Pharmacist
- Must have NHS Hospital experience.
- Must have own indemnity insurance (not covered by the trust)
- Right to work in the UK
