Blackstone Recruitment are working with a provider of education supporting a number of vulnerable young children aged 7-18 years with special education needs who are recruiting for a SEN Teacher for one of their schools in Bedfordshire.

Location: Bedfordshire

Hours: 40 hours per week

Salary: £25,714 to £40,240 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications) with an additional £3k allowance for applicants who hold QTS and accept leadership responsibilities

 

The role:

They’re currently looking to recruit a SEN Teacher to join their team.

Experience: 

Successful candidate is likely to demonstrate the following:

  • PGCE/QTS (essential)       
  • Experience in supporting young people who have special educational needs
  • The ability to deliver maths/English/science lessons
  • Proven experience in providing physical education
  • Proven experience in working with young people that challenge
  • Sound curriculum knowledge
  • A committed, conscientious and passionate approach
  • Dedication to support inclusion
  • The ability to plan, evaluate and monitor learning and progress
  • The ability to differentiate all aspects of learning to promote inclusion and attainment
  • The ability to build good relationships with young people and staff members
  • Strong organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and use time effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A positive attitude to hard work and challenging situations
  • A good sense of humour
