Blackstone Recruitment Limited is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 at the latest.
The Company operates a predominantly home-based and digitally enabled recruitment model and is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions arising from its business activities.
Baseline Emissions Footprint
Baseline Year: 1 April 2023 – 31 March 2024
Blackstone Recruitment Limited has adopted the financial year 1 April 2023 to 31 March 2024 as its baseline year for the purposes of measuring progress against its carbon reduction objectives.
Where complete historical activity data was not available for the baseline period, reasonable retrospective estimates have been used based upon the Company's operating model and available business information.

The principal contributors to this reduction have been:

greater use of Microsoft Teams and other virtual meeting technologies;

increased use of electronic candidate and client documentation;

electronic compliance, timesheet and invoicing processes;

reduced printing and postal correspondence; and

reduced requirement for physical business travel.

Blackstone Recruitment Limited does not own or control material stationary combustion sources within the reporting boundary.
The Company's predominantly home-based operating model means that domestic energy consumption by employees is not treated as direct Scope 1 emissions of Blackstone Recruitment Limited.
Accordingly, Scope 1 emissions are reported as 0.00 tCO₂e.

Blackstone Recruitment Limited has established the following objectives:

By 2035: seek to reduce residual emissions to 0.25 tCO₂e or below.
By 2050: achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions.
The Company's emissions performance will be reviewed annually, and its Carbon Reduction Plan will be updated accordingly.
Progress Against Baseline
The Company has reduced its estimated emissions from 0.92 tCO₂e in 2023/24 to 0.48 tCO₂e in 2025/26.
This represents an estimated reduction of approximately 47.8% over two reporting years.
Blackstone Recruitment Limited intends to build upon this progress through continued remote working, reduced unnecessary business travel, digitalisation, responsible procurement and improved carbon data collection.
