About our client:

Founded in 2012 by Alison Cairns, OT; we deliver comprehensive and detailed assessments of children and young people, whether these be developmental, neurological or chromosomal.

Offering a wide range of paediatric OT services, from EHCP assessment and treatment interventions from aged 2-25 years, to training workshops for parents, school transition visits to Expert Witness representation at legal tribunals, Ace COT has established a reputation as providing high quality interventions and receives referrals from the NHS, schools, local charities, solicitors and paediatricians as well as from private sources. We have established effective links with other local providers, such as speech and language therapists and paediatric psychologists, to ensure a holistic approach to treatment.

The whole focus is on the needs of the child, or young person, reflected in our vision statement:

Your child’s needs are at the heart of our practice.

Our clinic space, set in tranquil countryside just outside the village of Crondall in North East Hampshire, offers a well-established administrative base and team, as well as working and treatment space for OTs. However, we also encourage home based working, and IT systems are in place to support the clinical team to work remotely.

We offer a robust 3 month induction / probation period. During this time, weekly supervision as a minimum is given. Supervision then moves to fortnightly or monthly dependent on requirements through employment.

We follow the RCoT Pillars of Practice and have inhouse competencies to measure progress. Ideally over time, a Band 5 would progress to a Band 6 within our team and beyond accordingly.

We host monthly CPD sessions to all our staff and we encourage acquisition of new skills via our e-learning platform, external courses and joint working.

We offer additional training, such as SI modules, trauma and attachment, alongside many other options.

Team socials are undertaken quarterly

We offer student placements with Southampton, Bournemouth and Winchester Universities on a yearly basis.
