Summary of Job Description
Role: Behaviour Support/Inclusion Mentor (Key Stage 4)
Organisation: Charity and Independent School
Objective: Enforce good student behaviour and support the smooth running of the centre.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students in communal areas, classrooms, and outdoor spaces.
- Manage student attendance, behaviour, and safeguarding concerns.
- Administer first aid (if trained) and conduct security checks.
- Support tutors with challenging behaviour and apply behaviour management strategies.
- Record incidents and maintain accurate data on in-house systems.
- Conduct home visits for non-attending students and liaise with partner organisations.
- Ensure health and safety standards and promote equal opportunities.
Person Specification:
- Physically fit and healthy.
- Experience with challenging behaviour and strong communication skills.
- Excellent ICT skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Restraint and first aid training (training provided).
- Knowledge of behaviour management, safeguarding, and education policies.
Terms:
- Hours: Full-time, term-time only (45 weeks/year).
